The opportunities for students of Biology are wide ranging and Science students are include the following fields at university: • Medicine • Nursing • Aeronautics • Biological Sciences • Veterinary Science • Forensic Science • Chemistry • Pharmacy • Physiotherapy This is a facilitating subject and so underpins many rigorous degree courses and careers in the Sciences.
• Students must achieve a minimum of 6 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above. • These must include English Language at Grade 6 and Mathematics at Grade 6. • Students must have Grade 6 in GCSE Biology or GCSE Combined Science.
You will study six modules of work each covering different key concepts of Biology. Assessment is now all at the end of the two year course and consists of three written exam papers. Practical work is assessed throughout the course providing evidence for a practical endorsement.
