This is a challenging and enjoyable course. You will learn how the body is able to produce sporting actions and understand how this can be optimised using psychological, physiological and biomechanical techniques. You will also be required to study the sociological barriers that limit individual participation and learn how these are being challenged. You will learn the skills of a coach and also have the chance to be assessed as a performer in your chosen sport. Although excellence in sport yourself is an advantage, it is not essential. You must be enthusiastic about sport.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade 4. Grade 5 in English and Maths. Grade 6 in PE or at least a Level 2 Merit in BTEC Sport or OCR National Sports Science/Studies
