Course summary

BTEC applied law will suit students who are interested in the vocational aspects of law. The course sets the student in a solicitors practice and students will be expected to complete tasks such as complete internal memos, present PowerPoints and advise clients on various areas of law. The course is useful to students in that it gives them a clear understanding of what takes place in a law firm. If you choose this course you would benefit from: - Experienced teachers who specialise in law and have experience in legal practice - Guest speakers with expertise in key legal areas - Trips to Birmingham Crown Court to see the machinery of justice in action - Bar Mock Trial which allows students to act out the roles of all parties in a criminal trial.
