This course will give you a firm grounding in the main psychological approaches, theories, topics and debates, and how these can apply to many aspects of life. You will also study research methods, so this will encourage you to think about reliability and validity of both descriptive and inferential statistics. You will complete three modules: Introductory topics in Psychology (Social Influence, Memory, Attachment, Psychopathology), Psychology in Context (Approaches, Biopsychology, Research Methods), and Issues and Options in Psychology (Issues and debates, Relationships, Schizophrenia, Forensic Psychology).
Minimum grade 5 in Maths, English Language and Science
Three two hour exams at the end of Y13.
