Core Content: Unit 1 - Information Technology Systems Unit 2 - Creating Systems to Manage Information Unit 3 - Using Social Media in Business Unit 4 - Website Development Students will develop a wide variety of skills including but not limited to: • Research • Presentation and Communication • Team Working • Critical Thinking • Data Analysis The course offers an in-depth introduction to the IT world. It is designed for students who are interested in an introduction to the study of creating IT systems to manage and share information alongside other fields of study, with a view to progressing to a wide range of higher education courses, not necessarily in IT. It supports progression to higher education, including University and degree apprenticeships, so an interest in studying these subjects Post 18 is ideal.
5 grade 4’s at GCSE including English and Maths.
The course is assessed through a variety of methods including coursework, controlled assessments and exams.
