Physics is the study of how and why nature seems to work. It is a truly challenging and academic course which requires high level maths skills as well as an open imagination. Students will study the following areas for the full A level: - Measurements, errors and working scientifically - Waves - Mechanics and materials - Electricity - Particles and radiation - Further mechanics and thermal physics - Fields - Nuclear physics - An extra subject area – currently astrophysics and cosmology
- A grade 7 or above in maths and grade A physics at GCSE. - Five GCSEs (including maths and English) at a strong pass – grade 5 or above
