Course summary

For students who like to solve problems and answer challenging questions about the physical world around them. This is an essential course for anyone interested in finding out about the world around them. The course looks at and connects the following topics: Newtonian mechanics, energy, electricity, magnetism, photons, quantum universe, cosmology, nuclear, medical, thermal, and particle physics. Entry requirements

At least 5 subjects at grade 4-9/L2P-D* including: Grade 6 in Science Grade 6 in Physics or 6/6 in Combined Science Grade 6 in Maths Grade 5 in English

How you'll be assessed

The teaching of practical skills is integrated with the theoretical topics. You will be externally assessed through written papers set by OCR. Your teacher will also assess you for the Practical Endorsement, for which you will carry out a minimum of 12 tasks during the course.
