Course summary

Health & Social Care will suit students who are interested in pursuing a career in Health, Social Care or Early Years sectors. The course investigates real life problems faced by businesses and explores possible solutions. Students will be encouraged to use their initiative in order to solve these problems. If you choose this course you would benefit from: - Experienced teachers who specialise in Health & Social Care and have experience these sectors. - Guest lecturers and Health & Social Care experts who in the past have included representatives from Coventry University Hospital, Leicester Royal Infirmary, George Eliot Hospital and Nuneaton Leisure Trust Youth Inclusion Officer to name a few - Trips to various local hospitals for clinical skills workshops and careers fayres. - Voluntary work placements to enable you to experience various Health, Social Care or Early Years settings.

Entry requirements

5 x GCSE grades 4-9 (incl. English Language) 5 in Biology/Science 4 in Mathematics

How you'll be assessed

Year 12 will consist of 2 exams and 1 coursework portfolio. Year 13 will consist of 1 exam and 2 coursework portfolios.
