Course summary
In studying Sociology you will develop an awareness of how our education experience influences our behavior. You will also study how work, poverty, and welfare impact our life chances and appreciate the significance of theory and concepts in sociological debate, developing your skills in challenging accepted explanations of equality and social diversity. In Year Two you will develop your extended writing skills in tackling topics such as crime and deviance and beliefs in Society; this will be underpinned by continuing studying theory and methods in context.
