Anyone interested in a career in the media or who just has a fascination for how we interact with films, television, newspapers, magazines, and the internet. Compulsory Units • Unit 1 – Media products and audiences • Unit 2 – Pre-production and planning • Unit 3 – Create a media product Optional units The following units are subject to change, based on the student’s interests. • Unit 20 – Advertising Media • Unit 21 – Plan and deliver a pitch for a media product • Unit 22 – Scripting for Media Products
At least 5 subjects at grade 4-9/L2P-D* including: Grade 4 in English or Maths An interest in creative subjects would be advantageous
Unit 1 and 2 – external examinations (50% of qualification combined) Units 3, 20, 21, and 24 are coursework and will be externally moderated (50% of qualification combined).
