BTEC Sport Level 3 National Diploma is equivalent to 2 A Levels and perfect for you if you are interested in sports and the sports industry. They are work-related courses, covering a range of activity tasks, practical performance, role play, written tasks, and exams. The courses are designed to equip students with the knowledge, understanding, and practical skills required for success in future employment in sports and related industries. You will cover units such as; Anatomy and Physiology (this unit is externally assessed via an exam), Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Wellbeing, and Sports Leadership to name a few. With the Diploma being the equivalent of 2 A Levels, a further additional 5 units will be covered on top of those completed for the Extended Certificate qualification, taking the total number of units covered to 9 and up to 14 units for the extended diploma which is worth 3 A Levels.
- Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above; including English and/or maths. - National data suggests successful students will have achieved an average points score of 4.0 or more.
