Course summary

Through studying A‐Level Geography, learners will develop a wide range of essential skills for Higher Education and the world of work through content which is relevant to global citizens of the 21st Century. The course which spans across two years of study, encompasses a broad balance of both human and physical topics. Learners are encouraged through a variety of experiences to become critical, reflective and independent learners, while unpicking the debates surrounding contemporary challenges facing the world today. As part of the course, learners will undertake a minimum of four days’ work in the field looking at aspects of investigative Geography.

Entry requirements

- GRADE 5 IN GCSE GEOGRAPHY - GRADE 5 IN GCSE MATHS - GRADE 5 IN GCSE ENGLISH LANGUAGE - A minimum of 5 GCSEs graded at 4 or above. - English Language or Maths GCSE graded at 4 or above. - An average GCSE points score of 4, or more, gleaned from all GCSE examinations undertaken by the pupil.
