Course summary

We run two courses in BTEC Sport, one our National Diploma is the equivalent to 2 A levels and the other National Extended certificate is the equivalent to 1 A level. For over 30 years BTEC Nationals have been widely recognised by industry and higher education as a highly successful vocational Level 3 qualification. They provide progression to the workplace either directly or via study at a higher level. A recent YouGov survey, showed that 62% of large companies have recruited employees with BTEC qualifications. Well over 100,000 BTEC students apply to UK universities every year and their BTEC Nationals are accepted by over 150 UK universities and higher education institutes for relevant degree programmes either on their own or in combination with A Levels. BTEC Nationals require applied learning that brings together knowledge and understanding with practical and technical skills. Entry requirements

Five good GCSEs, including Grade 5 or equivalent in GCSE PE or BTEC SPORT level 2 Distinction level. For those who have not followed physical education as an examination subject at GCSE level, a Grade 5 is required in a combination of Mathematics, Science or English.
