English Literature is a popular course and for a good reason! The course is varied and the skills you develop over the course will help you in careers, such as, Journalism, Law and Education. We study a variety of texts from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, to modern texts, like A Streetcar named Desire, so if you enjoy reading, discussing and analysing novels, plays and poetry, then this is the course for you. Students will study a Shakespearian tragedy, and a supporting critical anthology. Students will also study a collection of poems.
For entry into 3 A Level courses we require 6 GCSE’s at Grade 5 or above.
