Photography develops a wide range of skills, analytical and critical thinking, and problem-solving, which will be useful at University and in future careers. Photography may offer a highly creative and hands-on alternative to other subjects you may be studying at A level. Year 12 Sept - April Development of technical skills and contextual knowledge to meet the requirements of A level. Project 1 - Framing Year 12/13 - April - May The A-level coursework will be started in March/April of 12 Personal Investigation - 60% of final mark.
Students need to have achieve at least 3 grade 5’s and 2 grade 4’s at GCSE level. GCSE Grade 4 - Photography, If you haven't studied Photography, no problem, just come and talk to us.
Externally set task - 40% of the final mark. Paper is given to students at the beginning of February 2023 and preparation is until May. The practical exam is 15 hours (split over 3 days) in April of Y13.
