Course summary

Applied Science is for students who are interested in science, science-related or health-related issues. It explores the foundations of Biology, Chemistry & Physics and has a large amount of practical work. It allows you to use techniques that are employed in the workplace and understand the industries that use science. If you choose this course you will benefit from: - Experienced teachers who have worked in the science industry and in scientific research - Visits to pathology and water treatment laboratories, the Natural History museum and De Montfort University - The opportunity to experience and study all three sciences - Access to modern equipment and the development of independent practical skills

Entry requirements

5 x GCSE grades 4-9 (incl. English Language) 4 in Maths 4,5 or above in double award science or two separate sciences
