Business Studies is an exciting, dynamic, and ever-changing subject. It is relevant to everyone whether you will be running your own business empire, working for someone else, or are a consumer wishing to know your rights. Any student who has an interest in current affairs and the world of work should find the course enjoyable and satisfying. During the two years of the course, you will cover several elements of business, starting by looking inside the business at the different functional areas, marketing, finance, human resources, and operations, giving consideration to the activities they undertake and their role in the success of a business. You will also spend time identifying the external influences on a business, such as changes in the economy or competition, whilst establishing the impact of these on different businesses and having the opportunity to discuss suitable responses, giving thought to how businesses look to manage change and minimize risk.
