Spanish A Level has been developed to inspire all students who have an appreciation of the language, literature, film and culture of the Spanish-speaking world. You will develop an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of the Spanish language as well as practical and valuable language skills. We focus on many interesting topics including immigration, integration, changes in society and the recent history and current politics of Spain.
Grade 6 in Spanish or interview with Mme Reynes/Dr Bown if not achieved.
• Paper 1: Listening, Reading and Translation (40%) – 2 hours • Paper 2: Written response to book/film studied and Translation (30%) – 2 hours 40 • Paper 3: Speaking (internally conducted & externally assessed) (30%) – 22 minutes
