The Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Advanced GCE in Economics A is structured into four themes, two of which focus on micro economics with the other two looking into macro-economic concepts. You will build your knowledge and understanding of core economic models and concepts in Themes 1 and 2, and then build on this and apply your knowledge to more complex concepts and models in Themes 3 and 4. You will need to apply your knowledge and understanding to both familiar and unfamiliar contexts in the assessments and demonstrate an awareness of current economic events and policies. Having a keen interest in what is happening in the world around us will really support you in developing into a well-rounded economist.
Maths and English grade 6.
You will site three 2 hour papers at the end of Year 13. Paper 1 focuses on the micro-economic concepts covered in Themes 1 and 3. Paper 2 covers the macro-economic topics covered in Themes 2 and 4. Paper 3 focuses on content from all aspects of the course.
