AS Psychology Social influence - looks at conformity, social roles, and obedience in society. Memory - investigates how we process and retain information, why we forget things, and the effect of leading questions. Attachment - focuses on the relationship between caregivers and those that are cared for. Approaches in psychology – looks at the variety of ways in which Psychology can be approached and interpreted. Psychopathology - allows students to see what happens when mental health deviates from good, focusing on Schizophrenia. Research methods - shows students how Psychologists investigate the world around them. A2 Psychology The A-level course revisits the topics from AS in greater depth but also includes - Relationships - Gender - Cognition and development - Schizophrenia - Eating disorders - Stress - Aggression - Forensic Psychology - Addiction
- At least five 5-9 grades at GCSE. - Students who wish to take Psychology at A-level need to achieve at least a 6 in English and Science (Biology) GCSE subjects
