Course summary

Paper 1 and Paper 2 content: Proof, algebra and functions, coordinate geometry in the (x, y) plane, sequences and series, trigonometry, exponentials and logarithms, differentiation, integration, numerical methods and vectors. Paper 3 content Section A: Statistics - Statistical sampling, data presentation, and interpretation, probability, statistical distributions, and statistical hypothesis testing. Section B: Mechanics - Quantities and units in mechanics, kinematics, forces, and Newton’s laws and moments.

Entry requirements

GCSE English Language at Grade 5 or better, GCSE Mathematics at Grade 6 or better plus at least 3 additional GCSEs in Grade 4 or better.

How you'll be assessed

100% Examination (3 papers all worth 33.3% of the final grade).
