Course summary

This course offers progression in electrical studies following the completion of the Level 2 qualification. It continues to develop the practical skills required for employment and/or career progression as an electrician within the industry, including fault-finding inspection and testing while learning the scientific principles that underpin electrical science and design work. Our qualifications are taught by fully qualified industry professionals, passing on their knowledge to allow you to enter a driven industry and lead in the future of the sector. Studies at the Stephen Burke Construction Academy allow you to progress in safe, realistic working environments. You’ll learn practical skills alongside the underpinning principles required to be successful in the industry. All courses offer enrichment opportunities and work experience with partners in the industry such as St. Modwen Homes to offer the chance to complete exciting customer and industry-driven projects and gain experiences that bridge the gap between education and employment.

Entry requirements

Applicants will be expected to have a recognised level 2 subject specific vocational qualification. If not already achieved, be working towards completing a level 2 literacy qualification. (or) Several years' occupational experience within relevant disciplines will also be considered

How you'll be assessed

You will be assessed on a modular basis, with a mixture of online examinations, practical tasks, and written projects.
