This qualification includes specific pathways for all performing arts specialisms: music, acting, dance, musical theatre, and theatre production. Each of these pathways has units specifically designed for the specialism and optional units that allow students to specialise even further. As part of the enrichment program at Saint Augustine’s, students have opportunities to take part in performances, concerts and events, developing their skills and producing work that feeds directly into their practical work. We offer the Extended Certificate which is the equivalent to one A Level. There is also the option to add units and expand the qualification to the Foundation Diploma. This is equivalent to one and a half A levels. Decisions of offering the expanded qualification are made at the end of year 12 for students who show an appropriate level of commitment and aptitude.
- A minimum of 4 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade 4 or above, and two GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade 5 or above.
