Course summary

Physics is the most fundamental of the sciences, with its ultimate goal being to understand any and all aspects of our universe, from the apparently simple (e.g. the motion of a dropped object) to the highly complex (e.g. the search for the Higgs Boson at CERN).

Entry requirements

6 in Physics, or 66 in Double Science and 6 in Maths.

How you'll be assessed

There will be three external written exam papers: Modelling physics (01) will assess content from modules 1, 2, 3 and 5. Exploring physics (02) will assess content from modules 1, 2, 4 and 6. Unified physics (03) will assess content from all modules (1-6). Practical Endorsement Practical endorsement in biology is achieved by successfully completing a series of practical tasks over the two years of the course. Paper 3 will focus on the practical element of the course.
