The BTEC Level 3 offers learners modern, work-related qualifications which open the door to higher education and a career in the health and social care sector. You will learn about a range of subject areas including: Human Lifespan Development Safe Practices Individual needs Sociology Anatomy and Physiology Mental Health Psychology In addition, you will also take part in a work placement in a relevant health and social care setting and complete a first aid course. The course has been designed to give you a wider understanding of Health and Social care issues.

You will be continuously assessed throughout the course. Each module is assessed through College-based assignments that are externally moderated. You will attend a relevant Health and Social care setting for work placement one day a week, your progress will be closely monitored, by setting clear objectives, supervision and assessment.
