
This is an intensive practical course Over the two years you will study and develop a wide range of performance skills in the different Performing Arts disciplines. The course provides useful preparation for the Performing Arts Industry as performers, production roles, or arts administration. It is also a useful grounding for a range of other careers including education, media, sales, public relations, advertising, and marketing. Through practical workshops, you will learn techniques in acting, movement, and voice. These skills will then be developed to a more advanced level through the exploration of a range of texts, performance styles, theatrical practitioners, and themes. Over the two years, you will take part in a wide range of public performances to different audiences to demonstrate your skills. You will also undertake research, analysis and evaluation of your work as well as those of past and present theatrical performers. Written coursework accompanies the practical work in each unit you study.
5 GCSEs at Grades 4-9, including 4+ in GCSE English & 4+ in GCSE Dance, Drama or Music plus a successful audition.
