A business is an organization engaged in a commercial activity. An organization transacts business activities through the production of a good, offering of a service, or retailing of already manufactured product(s). A business can be a profit or a non-profit organization that operates to fulfill a charitable mission. Life doesn’t get better by chance but by change. Making a change is what business is all about. Business teaches an array of personal and transferable skills that not only make you employable but investable. Studying Business at Erasmus Darwin Academy allows learners to examine the specific activities of the different functional areas of a business, including the management of Finances, Marketing, Human Resources, and Operations. Learners will explore the concepts of management and entrepreneurialism and consider how they can be applied to a range of small to medium-sized enterprises. When students enter the world of work, the business helps them to build transferable skills as well as have a detailed knowledge of how organizations function.
