BTEC Level 3 offers you the opportunity to: • Develop knowledge and understanding in anatomy, physiology and fitness testing to plan sports programmes for clients in a professional environment. • Explore the knowledge and skills required for different career pathways in the sports industry. Take part in, and reflect on, a personal skills audit, career action plan and practical interview assessment activities. • Study the skills, techniques, tactics and rules of selected sports through active participation in individual/team sports.

Mandatory content (83%), external assessment (67%). - Unit 1: Anatomy and Physiology - examination (1 hour 30 minutes, 80 marks) (33.3%) - Unit 2: Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Well-being - synoptic and written assessment (60 marks) (33.3%) - Unit 3: Professional Development in the Sports Industry - coursework (16.65%) - Unit 5: Application of Fitness Testing (suggested) – coursework (16.65%)
