The approach to the course involves studying in some detail how today's businesses carry out their various functions, including marketing, finance, operations management (production) and human resources (people). The course looks at how outside activities affect business and, in turn, how businesses react to these.
At least grade 6 at GCSE in English Language. An interest in the world around you, be able to communicate effectively and have an interest in developing skills of evaluation, have basic numeracy and good IT skills.
Written examination, externally assessed by the awarding body.
