This course combines all 3 Science disciplines and is assessed through a combination of coursework and exam units (minimum 40%). It is available as a single A level equivalent as well as a double A Level equivalent which allows for specialisation. It prepares students for careers including: • Nursing • Forensic Science • Electronic Engineering • Mechanical Engineering • Paramedic Science • Biochemical Science • Environmental Chemistry • Criminology • Computing The Science courses are designed to provide academic and vocational experiences. They will prepare students for their choice of career in both the world of work and university courses. You will complete these three mandatory units plus additional units depending on your pathway: Unit 1 Principles and Applications of Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) Unit 2 Practical Scientific Techniques Unit 3 Science Investigation Skills
• Students must achieve a minimum of 6 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above • These must include English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4 or above • 2 x Grade 4 in GCSE Science courses
