Course summary

Biology is the study of living organisms and their interactions with each other as well as their environment. In the UK some of the highest skills shortages are in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and our curriculum is designed to develop scientific methodology and awareness of technological advances. The recognition of the value of biology in society has never been so important. After A-level Biology, students can go on to enjoy careers in fields such as medicine, engineering, and research. Biology is studied as a full two-year A-level course, with all of the exams at the end of the 2 years of study.
