The course is taught by two specialist Art teachers who provide a rich variety of art and design experiences before students specialize in their personally devised investigation. Learning will happen through workshops, tutorials, one-to-one discussions, group critiques, and independent work. Five GCSES at grades 9-5, which must include grade 9-5 in GCSE English Language and Mathematics. GCSE graded 9-6 in Art (Students who have not studied Art at GCSE will be required to submit a portfolio of work for consideration)
Unit 1: Internally set; internally marked; externally moderated. 17-month portfolio development - 60% Unit 2: Externally set; internally marked; externally moderated. Exam period February of second year - June - 40%
