Extended Project Qualification runs from October in Year 12 to January of Year 13. Students are expected to complete a fully independent piece of research and this is supported by a supervisor. There are 5 taught sessions at the start of the EPQ and then the sessions move into independent sessions where the supervisor will support with writing up the research dissertation. EPQ is worth half an A Level (AS) and carries UCAS points. If achieving an A-B grade in an EPQ, students will impress top Russell Group universities as this qualification demonstrates the ability to research, synthesize, and analyze data whilst also referencing degree standards.
5 GCSE’s grade 5 or above including English at grade 6.
