Course summary

The intellectual, analytical and technical skills developed during a Geography degree are highly sought after by employers. Geography skills and knowledge can be used in a wide range of careers such as seismologist, geophysicist, oceanographer, climatologist, geophysical engineer, researcher, volcanologist, hydrologist, planner and surveyor, demographer, conservationist and enviromental scientist. A level geography is a course for people who have an interest in the natural world and are seeking to stretch their abilities through the application of research and academic knowledge. Students with a scientific or mathematical mind may enjoy studying Geography. Additionally, Geography offers students opportunities to learn beyond the classroom setting as field work is part of the course.

Entry requirements

- Ideally Grade 4 GCSE Geography - A minimum of 5A*- C grades / grade 4s at GCSE Level across 4 different subject areas; this should include a Grade 4 for English Language and Mathematics.
