What will I learn in this course? The course is called ‘Salter’s Advanced Chemistry’ and covers all the key elements of A-level chemistry with particular emphasis on the latest developments and applications in the areas of polymers, medicines, materials, and the environment.
Double 6 in GCSE Combined Science or a 6 in GCSE Chemistry and one other science. 6 in GCSE Mathematics. Students must also undertake continued mathematics study (A Level Mathematics, AS Level Mathematics, Core Mathematics or mathematics study as directed by the science faculty)
AS level consists of five modules assessed through two written papers at the end of the course. A level consists of ten modules assessed through three written papers at the end of the course. Practical skills will be assessed through written examinations as part of AS and A level qualifications and within a separate practical endorsement (for A level only)
