This course is an economics course with elements of business studies within it. This Economics course is very much applied to the business and economic environment with topics covering the UK economy, international trade, global inequality and poverty, government intervention, market failure, different political spectrums as well as impacts on businesses and business behavior.
Five GCSEs at Grade 5 and above including English and/or Mathematics It is not necessary to have any previous experience in Business Studies or Economics. The skills required are nevertheless wide ranging, including evaluative and statistical analysis. Normal Sixth Form entry requirements to include a grade 5 or above in both English and Maths at GCSE.
100% exam assessed through 3 papers at the end of Y13.
