Whilst studying for your engineering career, you will also develop skills such as communication and technical machining skills. You will undertake training in: • Health and Safety • Workshop Practice • Transmission Systems • Engines • Fabrication • Hydraulics • Machinery Operations Courses are delivered using a range of methods including classroom based exercises, in the workplace or online study. On completion of level 2 it opens a whole range of possibilities for your next chosen steps to a career in agricultural engineering, including apprenticeships. A qualified level 2 engineer can expect to be earning 25000 to 35000 a year once fully qualified. On completion you will have the option to continue your education to level 3, as a full-time student. If you wish to continue your education as a full-time student, you can study up to level 5 before completing a year at a local unit.
You will need a minimum of grade 3 in Maths, English and Science to start at level 2.
You will be assessed using a variety of different assessment methods.
