Course summary

No matter where you want to go in life, study in the arts will help enable you to get there. The journey of exploration and creation is central to work in all areas of society, and Drama will help you develop these skills in a highly creative and practical environment. Through the course, you will develop your skills of teamwork, creativity, time management, and independence as well as developing your theoretical and practical understanding of what makes this multi-billion dollar industry tick. The key areas of study are Devising, Text in Performance, and Theatre Makers in Practice. The course is well structured but very flexible, allowing you and your fellow Drama students opportunities to plan the most successful route to success. Students at A Level Drama in Oriel can expect not only a boost to their self-confidence, but a significant strengthening of their skills within self-management, communication, and relationship building. You will, in essence, become an expert in self-promotion, which will be vital as you negotiate your career path.

Entry requirements

5 or more grades 5-9; including equivalents across at least 5 subjects. Maths Grade 4 and English Language Grade 5 or above. Average GCSE GRADE of at least 4.0 (average of ALL GCSE full courses taken).
