- GCSE History at a grade 6 or above - You must have achieved 5 passes including mathematics and English, where a pass is defined as GCSE 9-4 and pass or better at level 2 BTEC.
The course is assessed through an exam for each topic, Stuart Britain and Russia in Revolution. Each exam is 2 hours 30 minutes and contains three essay exam questions. The exams add up to 80% of your final grade, with the NEA accounting for the final 20%. This is an individual piece of assessed work, which is introduced at the end of Y12, with students working on it in Y13.
