The A Level French course includes a systematic recap of grammar and structures taught for GCSE and builds on what has been learnt by enabling students to improve their listening and reading skills as well as writing essays on themes relating to French society and culture, past and present. Emphasis is also very much on speaking in terms of students being able to articulate their opinions about different aspects of the themes covered. A Level French will provide you with a firm foundation for degree level study or equivalent - French is very important for business and could enable you to spend part of your degree in a French-speaking country.
- Ideally Grade 6 GCSE French - A minimum of 5A*- C grades / grade 4s at GCSE Level across 4 different subject areas; this should include a Grade 4 for English Language and Mathematics.
