Course summary

No, you won’t be blowing things up, sorry! At least not if it all goes to plan. We do, though, do a lot of practical, more than you are used to as it is an integral part of the course. We build on most, but not all aspects of GCSE- atoms, electrons, bonding, molecules, calculations, organic chemistry, rates, equilibrium, energy, the periodic table and take those to a much higher level. You will need to be precise with your language and develop the ability to apply knowledge in unfamiliar contexts, as well as link ideas from different areas of the curriculum. What is involved?
