
This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 -19 years old who want to specialise in the engineering sector to enable them to undertake further study in engineering or go on to engineering-related apprenticeships or employment. Option 1 and Option 2 must both be chosen as this is a double choice. Students take two specialist pathways in this qualification: • Automation, Systems and Control • Manufacturing Students undertake 12 units in total that are delivered in 60 GLH blocks. The course is graded using pass, merit and distinction assessment criteria.
