
A wide range of contemporary geographical issues are explored. Practical fieldwork skills, interrogation of geographical data and problem solving are all key elements of the two residential field trips and which run throughout the A level Geography course. There is a balance between physical and human geography. Tectonic hazards, geomorphology, water security and physical systems provide an in-depth understanding of the natural world. The impact of humans on the planet is investigated and evaluated through urban and rural regeneration, globalisation, economics, future energy provision, migration and the refugee crisis, and the rise or demise of countries considered to be rising or current superpowers.
