Students will undertake a variety of units that will provide an in-depth understanding of the Health and Social Care sectors. Topics will include the roles, responsibilities, skills and attributes of people who work within the health and social care sector, human development across the lifespan and how different factors affect development, including the impact of physiological disorders. You will learn through formal teaching in the classroom including case studies, discussions, films, individual and group project work and debates. You will be expected to undertake private study including research, revision and homework tasks.
To apply for Nether Stowe Sixth Form students require a Grade 4 or above in at least 5 GCSE’s or equivalent qualifications, including either English (Language or Literature) or Maths. Grade 4 in English, Maths and Science, plus other supporting subjects.
