The Extended Project Qualification will encourage you to develop your independent working skills, and complete a course in something you are truly passionate about and want to pursue in your future career. This course allows you to create your own research project based on anything you like, producing either a written dissertation at the end, or creating an artifact as a final result of the research. This is an additional option choice that pupils can select as well as their A level studies. - We will ensure you get the 1:1 support needed through the process to help you achieve your potential in this unit. - Every project is different so pupils will tailor it to their needs. You'll develop useful project management skills, research and critical analysis that are useful in higher education and the world of work. A good grade EPQ is worth 70 UCAS points so very useful for university applications, particularly so if you are applying for competitive courses such as medicine, business or law.
The assessment is: - Either a 5000 word written report and log of the project. - Or a creative artefact with supporting 1000 words and log. Students also complete a presentation to an audience.
