A Level Fine Art is an excellent platform for progression to higher education in the visual arts. Expectations are very high and results are consistently outstanding. Student feedback on the course is extremely positive. Our students' personal journey is encouraged and respected. Teaching studios are stimulating and well equipped and staff are very experienced at giving expert, personalised tuition. There is a comprehensive enrichment programme fully supported by staff. In year 13 extra tuition is given on Further and Higher Education entry, portfolio preparation and interview technique. Progression to art college and university is outstanding with 100% of students gaining first choice places since 2014.
We require students to have passed some form of visual art qualification at KS4. Standards at A Level are very high and are a big step up from GCSE. Visual learning at this level is much more demanding than most students realise. Ambition and determination are required because this learning will challenge you.
