During Year 12, DGSB Sixth Form students complete the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).* The EPQ is a stand-alone qualification which is worth up to 28 UCAS Tariff points, making it more valuable than an AS-Level. It is designed to promote independent learning and to enhance students’ research, critical thinking and project-management skills. Uniquely, students have complete freedom when selecting the topic for their EPQ, so can use it to further explore a particular interest or passion or to enhance their understanding of an area directly linked to their future career ambitions. The EPQ is a valuable and rewarding qualification which has proven to be very popular with our students. * The EPQ is optional for students studying a fourth A-Level.
