Unit 1: Students will study the topic of Industrialisation and the People: Britain, c1783-1885. ● In Year 12 students will examine the period up to 1832, examining the issues which the Napoleonic Wars and industrialization created for governments of the period. ● In Year 13 students will focus on 1832-1885, examining topics such as the mid-Victorian boom and the increasing wave of reforms that governments of this period introduced. Unit 2: Unit 2 is the depth study, students will study Revolution and Dictatorship: Russia, 1917-1953. ● In Year 12, students will examine the Russian Revolution and the Rise of Stalin, 1917-1929. ● In Year 13 students will examine Stalin’s Rule, 1929-1953. Unit 3: Students will complete a Historical Investigation of approximately 3,500 words. ● This is submitted in Year 13 and is worth 20% of the A Level course.
