Course summary

A study of Religion - Paper 1 A study of Christianity: There will be four themes within this component: religious figures and sacred texts; religious concepts and religious life; significant social and historical developments in religious thought; religious practices and religious identity. Philosophy of Religion - Paper 2 There will be four themes within this component: arguments for the existence of God; challenges to religious belief; religious experience; religious language. Religion and Ethics - Paper 3 There will be four themes within this component: ethical thought; deontological ethics; teleological ethics; determinism and free will.

Entry requirements

Grade 5 in English Language and Grade 6 in Religious Studies (if studied at GCSE) 5 GCSEs, including Maths, Grade 4+.
