A large dataset provided by the awarding body is used to provide a real-life context. • In Mechanics, students describe the motion of objects and analyze how they react to forces acting upon them. Year 13: • Students further their knowledge of Pure Mathematics, Mechanics, and Statistics. • The Pure Mathematics content will extend the Algebra, Trigonometry, Logarithms, and Calculus studied in Year 12 as well as the links between these topics. Students will also study some Numerical Methods, Vectors and Differential Equations. • In Statistics, students will further their knowledge of Probability Distributions to include the Normal Distribution and the Binomial Distribution. • In Mechanics, the students will further their ability to describe the motion of objects and analyze how they react to forces acting upon them.
